The Singapore-based company wanted to bid on United States federal, state and local infrastructure projects funded in part by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Most of the federal stimulus spending was earmarked for United States companies. Pteris Global needed to set up a United States subsidiary to become a qualified bidder.

Gordon Global established Pteris Global (USA) Inc. as a Delaware Corporation and helped recruit an American general manager who had more than 20 years experience in working for control and conveyor systems companies. The new corporate entity identified four initial United States airport projects that it wanted to submit bids on. Working together, we helped the company to obtain "Authority to Conduct Business and Contracting Licenses" in the four relevant states which qualified Pteris Global (USA) to bid on the projects.

On April 24, 2009, Pteris Global (USA) was successfully awarded its first U.S. contract -- a $17 million project for Turner Construction to engineer, supply and install a baggage handing system at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport!

Gordon Global provides Pteris Global (USA) with a complete package of daily financial, accounting, legal and business management services, which ensures that the company meets all of its Sky Harbor project requirements. The company continues to identify and bid on North American baggage handling system projects in more than a dozen states each year.]]>

The company turned to Henry Feintuch and his PR team to help position it as the leading power-sourcing equipment OEM partner to the top telecom/networking companies in the world.

Mr. Feintuch's public relations and marketing team created a certification program to help brand its innovative technology and create an aura of exclusivity. They also began to heavily promote PowerDsine's involvement with a newly formed IEEE standards committee and the push to create an industry standard (802.3af) for this emerging technology.

This effort, conducted with the industry analyst community and trade and business media, slowly built an image of the company as a technological leader as significant coverage in EE Times, Network World, Cabling Business, Network Magazine, PC Magazine and others covered PowerDsine.

Within a year of the launch of the campaign, many global players had signed on to use PowerDsine's technology including 3COM, Avaya, Siemens, Lucent, Ericsson, Ascom, Congruency and Proxim. Initial reluctance to participate in PowerDsine press releases switched to ready compliance as PowerDsine's dominance increased in the market. The company closed on a critical $30m private financing round (during a tight economic market). Later the company went public and eventually it was purchased by Microsemi.]]>

Mr. Feintuch, who had worked with Mr. Barakat when he was a product manager at International Paper, swung into action in mid-2007.

While a photo shoot was scheduled at the new plant in Oman, the design team jumped in and created a unique company logo and corporate identity, built Octal's Web site, developed brochures and marketing material and created a trade show booth for the company's planned launch at the SPE conference in September of that year.

Working with Octal management, they positioned its APET plastic, a fully recyclable material, as the finest quality in the world and ideal to meet the growing demand for this substrate in the consumer product packaging segment. The PR strategy was to leverage plant construction milestones with the media while negotiating an exclusive cover story with key industry trade Plastics News. Octal was the hit of the Cincinnati SPE conference; more than 100 articles appeared globally in the week following the launch in all key global markets (with the help of Feintuch's ECP Global network). Numerous sales leads and partnership inquiries resulted.

In mid-2008, the Feintuch team and Octal hit another major success at the Interpack show in Dusseldorf, Germany. The company conducted more than two dozen in-booth interviews. Prospects visited the Octal booth in droves citing news coverage, emails and tremendous buzz in the market. The company's new plant sold out its capacity months in advance of opening.]]>
